Charlie And The Chocolate Factory

 My Favorite Book

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a children's book that was first published in 1964. It was adapted into two movies in 1971 and 2005.

The sequel, which came out in 1972, was written by Roald Dahl. The story was inspired by the experiences of Dahl when he was a young boy.

During the 1920s, both Rowntree and Cadbury engaged in similar activities, which led to Dahl's idea for the character of Slugworth. The two companies would send spies into their factories in order to steal trade secrets. This method inspired Dahl to create the story.
